Hilary Trahan combines her legal training and communication background in order to navigate the politics and the people aspects of her role as Community Relations Coordinator. Her ability to think critically and logically stems from her own connections to a long line of educators, her personal love for learning and the strong values she places on education as a pathway to opportunity.
Prior to relocating to Nashville, Hilary worked in Louisiana State Government, where she was a part of the communications team at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor and aided in the promotion of culture, recreation and tourism in the state. She later followed the team to the Division of Administration where she conducted research to support the Division’s legislative initiatives and gained pivotal communication experience running the Division’s website and collaborating on social media strategy. It was through this work in state government that Hilary gained an appreciation for the importance of policy and the need for clear communication of to drive awareness and understanding.
Hilary graduated from Louisiana State University where she earned a B.A. in Mass Communication. She also hold a Juris Doctorate from LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. In her free time, Hilary enjoys trying new restaurants in Nashville, making healthy recipes, fitness, and spending time with her husband and golden retriever.
