Emily Lilley is a proud representative of East Tennessee and passionate about students having access to strong educational options no matter where they live. Currently serving the Tennessee Charter School Center as the Director of Government Relations, she helps to develop and advocate for policies that support a high-quality charter school sector.
After teaching in Atlanta, she went on to work for several years in publishing and marketing communications as an editor, After a 2012 stint as the communications director for a successful Congressional re-election campaign in Georgia, Emily returned to Tennessee again to work in education policy.
Emily received her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and History from Auburn University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Communications from Johns Hopkins University. In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending her spare time reading and writing about famed author, Agatha Christie.
